Jayson Hill has been the Head Athletic Trainer for the Wheelock College Wildcats since August 2010. Prior to joining Wheelock, Hill served in the same capacity at nearby Manchester Essex Regional High School.
A veteran medical professional, having worked with various athletic programs at all three levels, (professional, collegiate and high school), Hill gained valuable experience during his undergraduate years at Salem State University. During his time as an undergrad, Hill worked with the Worcester Sharks of the American Hockey League (AHL), the SSU Viking women's basketball and men's soccer teams and at Governor's Academy and Malden High School.
He has also been heavily involved in the health care profession, beyond the realm of athletic training, including serving as a high-angle and confined-space rescue technician. Hill has also been employed as an Emergency Medical Technician at Salem-based Northshore Ambulance between 2001 and 2003. He completed the Greater Nashua (N.H.) Paramedic Program in 2004.
Hill graduated cum laude from Salem State with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Athletic Training.
